Summer holidays

It's our summer holidays, and we decided to head to the east coast, to Sokcho, for two days! We were both in much need of some sun, beach and fun! My good friend Cris, whom I haven't seen in over two years, joined us, which was a treat! She and Stella got on like a house on fire, and we all had a great time!
Morning breakfast, before catching the bus.
Stella is experimenting with photography...

Attempt # 1...

Attempt #2...much better!

We were welcomed at our hotel with open arms - the staff were extremely kind and helpful.
The hotel was lovely, our room had an awesome view of the beach just across the road, as did the charming restaurant down stairs. All in all, things were pretty perfect.

View from our balcony.

Bubble fun before the beach!

We had delicious grilled fish for supper - who ever said holiday eating has to be unhealthy?!

Night time fun - sparklers on the beach :)
Day 2 and 3 to follow...

At the moment, we are filling the rest of our holiday days with local trips, and chilling out. The holiday is sure flying by way too fast!

Flowers, pneumonia and nothing much else....

I haven't had my camera out in ages. I guess that means that life has kind of settled down and we are just getting on with things for now.

We've just been enjoying the summer weather and flowers...that is, before Monsoon season hit!

And of course, there's Stella getting pneumonia and middle ear infection this week. Not fun! We spent 4 days in hospital, which was traumatic for Stella, and frustrating being tied to a drip the whole time! When we finally got home last night, she jumped around on the bed so much she fell and hit her head! She's happy to be home!

Stella in hospital on the first morning. She woke up chuffed with her drip, until she she realised that it didn't allow her to move too much - then the hell began.

Back home! Not much to do when you are recuperating...except dance, dress up and get ready for beach holidays!

We went outside this morning to enjoy the sunshine, before the rain returns tonight!
