아빠 사랑해요

One of the reasons we came back to Korea was so that Stella could be with her daddy again. And I'm so glad we did. There is something very special about the bond between a father and daughter.

In South Africa, Stella took to calling Deano, Bash and Fritjof 'Daddy', which had us all a bit worried (amused), and all the cousins fighting over their daddies. I can see how happy she is now to have her very own daddy all to herself!

Just after we arrived back, we celebrated Children's day by taking Stella to the Folk Village. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and Stella had a great time hanging out with her dad and uncle.
 

Stella loves animals, but sometimes only from a distance. In the Berg in August last year, she was to petrified to even sit on the trail horses. When she saw the horses at the FV, she begged to go for a ride. "Please Mommy, I'm not scared any more!" she said.

Finally...this is fun!

After a serious hay fever attack, we left the Folk Village in search of an open pharmacy, and then headed to the Yongin Agricultural Theme Park. These places in Korea never cease to amaze me - so colourful, animated and fun!

Pretoria

So many people were so extremely kind and helpful to us before we left. It is hard for me to thank each of you appropriately. I hope that I will get to all of you in good time.

I have to say a very big Thank You to Lana, Fritjof, Siana and Kian, who on more than one occasion, had us stay with them in Pretoria, drove us around so that we could sort our admin out and took us shopping! We spent our last 2 weeks with them before we left SA, and here are some highlights:

We loved staying with you guys, we miss you so much, and we can't wait to visit you in Rome!!
I hope that you enjoy your last weeks in South Africa, and that your move to Italy goes smoothly!

Back to the ROK

So, once again, we left our beloved South Africa for the distant shores of South Korea.
As hard as it was leaving our amazing, loving and supportive friends and family, it is good  to be back. It feels great to be working again, and I know that although it may take a while for her to get used to it, Stella is going to benefit greatly from being at school with friends, and eventually, we wont miss each other quite so much!
