Christmas decorating

We had a lot of fun putting up our little Christmas tree and decorating last week. This is definitely my favourite time of the year!

Stella took her job of hanging the Christmas balls very seriously, and loved being all covered in glitter.

What to do first?

It was hard to persuade her not to put all the balls on just one branch ;)

Not a bad photo for a 2.something year old!

Merry Christmas!
The tree has been redecorated about a million times since then, but I decided that it's Stella's and she can do what she wants with it. And besides, what's not great about having a newly decorated Christmas tree every day?

The Good Girl Christmas Tree

So it's that time of the year again, and we all know that Santa only delivers gifts to good little boys and girls. So as an incentive, I made Stella a Good Girl Christmas Tree. Every day that she behaves well, or does something really good, she gets to decorate the tree with one sticker. Santa is watching, and if that tree looks really pretty by Christmas, then he'll send all the presents she asks for. At the moment, he'll have an easy job, because all she wants (when I last asked her) is a 'pink' present!

Hello Winter

The brilliant colours of Autumn have already disappeared, and have been replaced by more dull browns, which tells me that winter has most certainly arrived!

Even though it is really chilly already, for our own sanity we try and take a little walk out in the fresh air every day. Luckily we are surrounded by beautiful nature!

We have a lot to look forward to in the next few weeks : Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas markets, and snowboarding!!

Halloween at Everland

*Trying very hard to catch up on the blog
*Failing miserably

Everland is brilliant at celebrating the different seasons and holidays. I cannot wait to see what they are doing for Christmas!

This past October, Lunge (my South African co-worker) joined us for Halloween celebrations, and I'm not sure who enjoyed it more - her or Stella!

Aesop's village has always been my favourite part of Everland, and this time we discovered a new little gem - the reading maze! Whenever you touch a part of the book, it begins to read a story to you = Stella was totally intrigued...
